5.1.    WePlog processes your data for:

We process your personal data via the website in order to contact you, to be able to process any questions you may have and to provide you with the necessary information about our WePlog app, products and services in this regard, any promotions, discounts, our website or other information related to our activities.
The processing of your data for these purposes may be necessary for the preparation of a possible agreement with you (e.g. license agreement) or is based on the legitimate interests of WePlog insofar as these outweigh your (privacy) rights or interests.
If you do not provide certain information, such as your identification data, it is possible that we cannot contact you or provide you with further information and therefore cannot provide you with products or services.


-    Direct marketing:

    Your data can be used for direct marketing. This is the sending of information about the WePlog app or other information that could be interesting or useful to you via our newsletter or other means.

    If you are a customer or user of the app, this is possible on the basis of our legitimate interests in taking action, which if necessary outweigh your (privacy) rights or interests. If you are not a customer or user, we need your prior consent (e.g. by subscribing via our website: “Subscribe to our newsletter.”). 6.2.    We are not responsible for the processing of your data by third parties who do not do this on behalf of WePlog, but who are responsible for it themselves.

8.    How long do we keep your data?

 We will not keep your data for longer than necessary for the purposes as described above in Article 5, unless special legal provisions apply to their storage or processing. In any case, the principle always applies that we do not keep your data longer than necessary.

 

9.    What are your rights?    

9.1.    You have the right to information about the processing of your data via the website. This will be communicated to you via this privacy policy. You can also always request us to provide additional information.

9.2.    You have the right to request us to:

-   access your data.

For this you can get one copy of the requested information free of charge. If you request additional copies, we may charge you a reasonable fee for this as an administrative cost.

-    improvement of your data (if necessary);

-    deletion of your personal data if:
o    the processing of that data is no longer necessary for the purpose or purposes for which it was processed by us;

o    you have withdrawn a previously given consent;    

o    you object to the processing by us;    

o    the personal data would have been unlawfully processed by us;
    
o    this is necessary to comply with a legal obligation; or   

o    the personal data would have been processed in connection with an offer of online services to children.

-    restriction of processing concerning you.
You have the right to obtain restriction of processing if you:

o    dispute the accuracy of the data we have;

o    the processing is unlawful and you object to the erasure of the personal data and request the restriction of its use instead;

o    we no longer need this information, while you still need this information for the establishment, exercise or defense of legal claims; or
 
o    pending an answer to the question whether the legitimate grounds of WePlog outweigh yours or your (privacy) rights if you have objected to the processing on the basis of our legitimate interest.
    
9.3.    You have the right to object to the processing of your data.

     You can object to the processing of your data for direct marketing at any time and free of charge. This can easily be done by letting us know via privacy@weplog.be and/or via the mailings or newsletters themselves (the option to unsubscribe is always provided at the bottom). You will then no longer receive such mailings or newsletters from us.
 

9.4.    You have the right to portability of your data (to another controller). This is only possible if the processing by us is based on your consent or if the processing is carried out via automated processes.

 

9.5.    If the processing of your personal data is based on your consent, you have the right to withdraw your consent at any time

9.7.    The exercise of your rights, as set out above, is always subject to the requirements and conditions as determined in the applicable legislation (such as the General Data Protection Regulation (the so-called 'GDPR')).

9.8.    To exercise your rights, you can simply send a request to WePlog at privacy@weplog.be. You must identify yourself sufficiently. When we have reasons to doubt your identity, we may ask you for additional information that is necessary to confirm your identity. We will usually ask for a copy of your identity card to verify who is actually submitting a request.
